Storm Damage Roof Repairs in Dublin
Strong winds can displace slates and tiles, lift flashing and leave sections of a roof exposed in a matter of minutes. The damage is not always obvious from the ground, and it often only shows inside when the next band of rain arrives.
We assess storm damage across Dublin, make the roof weather-resistant where it is safe to do so, and carry out the permanent repair once conditions allow.
Fully Insured • Clear Quotations • 24/7 Emergency Repairs Available

Typical storm damage
- Slates or tiles displaced, cracked or missing after high winds
- Ridge or hip tiles moved along the roof line
- Flashing lifted or torn away from a chimney or wall
- Areas of roof left exposed to the weather
- Water ingress appearing shortly after severe weather
- Loose roofing materials, gutters or debris on the roof
How we approach the job
1.Assess when it is safe
Working at height during high winds is not safe. We inspect once conditions allow, and check the whole roof rather than only the visible damage.
2.Make it weather-resistant
Where the roof is open to the weather and can be reached safely, the priority is stopping further water entering the building.
3.Repair and reinstate
Damaged coverings, ridges, flashings and rainwater goods are repaired or replaced to match the existing roof as closely as possible.
4.A record of the damage
Photographs of roofing damage and completed work can be provided where appropriate.
Please stay off the roof
Do not climb onto a wet or storm-damaged roof, and do not use a ladder in high winds. Coverings can be loose even where they look intact, and more people are injured checking storm damage than by the storm itself. Look from the ground and call us.
Check after every named storm
A quick look from ground level after high winds — missing slates, displaced ridges, debris in the gutters — catches problems before they turn into ceiling damage weeks later.

FAQ
Storm Damage Repairs — common questions
Should I get the roof checked if there is no leak yet?
It is worth it. Displaced slates and lifted flashing frequently let water in during the following weeks rather than immediately.
Can you attend during a storm?
Working at height in high winds is not safe. We will advise on interim measures over the phone and attend as soon as conditions allow.
Can you provide photographs of the damage?
Photographs of roofing damage and completed work can be provided where appropriate.
Is it safe to go up and look myself?
No. A storm-damaged roof is unstable and wet coverings are slippery. Assess it from the ground and let a roofer go up.
What if slates have come off and rain is forecast?
Call us. Where a roof is exposed and water is getting in, an emergency call-out to make it weather-resistant is the first step.
